China has recently completed matching for those whose LID is March 31, 2006. As a reminder, we are late May 2007. No one with any real knowledge is making predictions about timelines anymore. It's just too unreliable. But, I can say fairly confidently that we have a couple more years to wait.
We've been contacted by Bethany to update our homestudy and immigration paperwork once again. I wonder if my fingerprints have gotten any better since the last time we went through this process. Probably not. I had them fail for a licensing application too, but they were accepted the 2nd time around.

So, good news is that it appears our application has made it through the review process (our login date is May 29...or is it 27...2007). So, we should be welcoming our baby home in another 3 years or so. (That's only a little bit of sarcasm).

Not a Criminal
Last Tuesday, I finally received clearance again through immigration. So, we're set for another year.
Here are the latest dates China is posting.
Reviewed through: March 31, 2007
Placed through: March 2, 2006
So, they are reviewing April 07 apps, and our app is May 07. Getting close. Once we're reviewed, we have a few more options open to us if we decide to adopt a special needs child. We'll wait to see what God has in store for us.

Time Frame Update

This means that China confirms that they've reviewed all applications through 2/28/07 and have placed babies with applications received through 2/28/06. Our application arrived in China on 5/29/07, so we have a couple more months before we're out of the review process. The rumor is that they are in the March/April applications -but there were a lot of people who turned in their applications during that time period. 5/1/07 was when the new regulations went into effect.
No solid information on how quickly they'll get through the applications - safe to say - no time soon. So, we wait, and continue to believe, that God's timing will be perfect.
